This is one of the oil paintings I Gloria Poole [in Missouri but born in state of Georgia] painted to be included in the ethnic series of paintings I began in yr 2007. I had the flash on the camera which is why the lower corner looks so bright and I was standing as I photographed it, which is why it's a bit lopsided [I am a bit lop-sided because of fractures and repair to my leg with lots of metal implanted.]  If I have something to lean against as I photograph viewers don't notice the lop-sidedness.  IF I had been using my big powerful digital camera, it would have not been noticeable  either because it adjusts for that. But alas, I just wanted to get it on web because I had tweeted that I would probably add my newest paintings to my blog. Also, I had sent this photo that didn't have flash on, and that was level  from another camera of mine [to one of my emails to upload] ;  and it did not get to my inbox, so think cyber-hackers tried to steal it in transit. But I have the painting.  I enlarged the photo [explains slight fuzziness]  but the painting itself is much larger and is a 16 x 20 inch size on canvas.  I named it "Irish student"  with a purpose in mind. I read that teenage boys are increasingly shunning college. So, I thought I'd create imaginary student in college that might make them think they might meet the girl of their dreams at University.
  Yea, yea, yea, I know that I should put my best image of it forward. That is increasingly hard to do, because cyber-hackers lurk to try to grab the first image of any art I create and that's is very frustrating to me. So much so, that I am thinking of not putting any more of the art I create on the web.
 I began the ethnic series of paintings in yr 2007 in another state. I moved to Missouri in Oct 2009  after 2nd divorce in Oct 2007 in Colorado. My mission with the  series I named ethnic paintings was to show each ethnic group with some of  their characteristics and in native costume [if they have one] and to show that regardless of skin color, or eyes, or hair, or features, language, age, status,  GOD loves all people, and I know that from Bible verse John 3:16, KJV.
 This is a photo of an actual painting I painted with oil paints and brushes on canvas. It is NOT a real person. In fact, none of the paintings in my ethnic series are real people. They are all painted by me, made up as I go along with the brush in my hand. And photographed by me but with a wide assortment of cameras, cell phones, devices, gadgets. It has to do with many factors which one I photograph with at any time. IF I was trying to send something, and it was intercepted by crooks, I immediately switch cameras. For my own physical safety because I was a victim of violence, and trauma.

 I love to paint. It relaxes me, and it helps me think. Because I don't have to concentrate so furiously on it, ideas flow easily to my mind. I have painted as artist since 1991, but I had professional training in drawing  before that.
 I am the white, Christian, single, woman who was born in Georgia but who has lived in several states . I am also a Registered Nurse. I am divorced twice and resumed my maiden name both times after divorces. Gloria Poole is my real, born with name, though many people have tried to hijack it.

The Majestic Peacock in a sketch I completed yesterday

This is the sketch I had to send from one of my phone cameras about 4 times because the first two times cyber-criminals tried to intercept it, then the 3rd time, it was "sent" per phone but never appeared in my inbox; and I blogged about it yesterday. So I tried again this morning to send it and it arrived to my inbox.  I drew this in pencils first, then painted it with liquid acrylics and some iridescent paint also.  This is in one of my sketch books. I had a bit of trouble signing my name in acrylics [the ltr G] because the paint had thickened some from setting--had to dilute it a bit, try again. And the full yr of 2013 in the lower right corner didn't quite get in the photo but it's there.

I first saw the peacock with his tail plumed when I visited Scotland yrs ago. I visited one of the castles there and on the grounds of it, were peacocks wandering about. When I saw one up close, I was awed by their beauty and majestic plumes. I named this sketch "Castle peacock".  

Also, fyi: I am the white, single, [divorced twice; with 2 grown daughters] , Christian woman who was born in the state of Georgia; and who lived in several states and even the UK [briefly] while getting credentialed as RN there [ about yr 2001].  Also, I am a University  of Georgia alum [@universityofga; @UGA] and yesterday I drew a  a sketch of the mascot Uga, and put it on my blog at http://gloriapoole.blogspot.com for them to see and the world too. I paint, sketch, and draw and have regularly since about 1993, though I learned mechanical drawing before that.  I also blog, write poems, and photograph extensively.

The finished sketch "... table manners"

A sketch in progress

This is the sketch I'm doing that is a work in progress. That means it is not done. It's one I began in powdered pastels; added some acrylics too, so it is mixed media at this point. That's some of the acrylics and inks [in little jars] to the right, and my water jar I put wet brushes in. You cannot allow acrylics to dry in air for even few minutes--brushes are ruined if you do. I haven't decided where I'm going with it--what I want in the background if anything; if I like the pale colors of powdered pastels, and if I have a title in mind for it. It's inspired by a magazine ad and is on bristol board about 9 x 12 in size.  Maybe I should name it "those table manners could use some work"???

 I sometimes decide if I like it after I see it in larger format photo as it looks to world. I am probably going to work on this sketch a bit more. Maybe will add the finished version later, but I painted my signature since it's going on one of my blogs.

Clarifying who I am, where I am

This photo you see above is me Gloria Poole of Missouri, who yrs ago created the domain of gloriapoole-paintings and also nine other domains on godaddy.com. Eight of those domains I paid for, ordered online, created with my original content were stolen FROM me by criminals who broke into my godaddy.com account. I cancelled my godaddy hosting account this year because it was finally obvious that they are dishonest totally. godaddy staff supplied my passwords and emails to criminals who used it to harm me in many ways.

I am also the same white, Christian, single, woman who created the domains of http://g-l-o-r-i-a.info, http://g-l-o-r-i-a.name, http://gloriapoole.name that were all stolen from me by cybercriminals who broke into my hosting account to rip them off from my administrator/owner panel. Gloria Poole is my real, born with name. Criminals on the internet defrauded me of my intellectual properties, my Paypal accounts [3 or 4 different ones over 7 yrs' time] , money by using my cell phone numbers they got from godaddy's so-called confidential files that they broke into.I also cancelled all Paypal accounts of mine in writing to Paypal years ago.

I have most of the paintings I painted included "the Scotsman", "the French Man", the "Mandarin Lady", "the Schloss",  "thoroughbred" , "The English Lady", [all of the paintings and sketches I created for the ethnic series I painted] and most of my paintings, sketches and drawings I have created in the past 20 years. There is NO OTHER PERSON authorized to use my name but me. There is NO OTHER person authorized to login to my computer/ devices, clouds, isp /hosting/ or  emails but me. I do not work for anyone. I do not have a "boss", nor a "supervisor" { I am the "supervisor" on my computers}, nor a husband, nor a business partner, nor a job, nor work assignment. The art I paint, sketch, draw,  I do for myself--for my purposes and sometimes I put it on the web after I photograph it with any of several cameras and or cell phones that I own.

This is necessary because someone broke into this account in the past few days, and I had to reset the password. It seems to be unlawfully connected by some secret method to criminals in remote, unknown places, because I logged into one account but a different gmail account of mine appeared after I logged in.--a rather bizarre situation that never happened before.

I know that in GOD's time, GOD will punish those who break in and steal, and those who murder and maim others. I know there is a GOD and I know the laws [commandments] of GOD still apply.  I know the wicked will be punished in GOD's time and way.

Above is a painting in oils, that I painted & named "Mother with newborn".   The occasion was that my youngest daughter [who is married]  was having a baby & so was my niece in Georgia.  I had a bit of trouble with getting the face of the newborn correct. I am not totally happy with it; because newborns have large heads in proportion to the rest of them; but usually tiny mouth, nose, ears, fingers, toes, they are much harder to paint [to me]. Also, their skin is a motley color usually when first born or a bright pink. I didn't get the nose as it should have been on this --practice makes perfect I was told when learning to play the piano [a tiny bit after I was married the first time*--didn't keep it up ]; and as I was learning to start IV's years ago.

Above is a sketch in watercolors I drew then painted &  I named "lightning" after something I saw.  It was in midst of storm as most lightning is. Sometimes drawings that are mostly abstract are difficult for me.
