Today I drew this first with graphite, then painted it with watercolor and a brush, then corrected parts of places with white acrylic, then signed it with an ink pen w calligraphy tip, then photographed it and uploaded it and posted it to this blog of mine, which is only one of my blogs that I post art I make too. This is the symbol of my alma mater Georgia Baptist College of Nursing where I graduated; and took state boards in Georgia to become a Registered Nurse years ago.I have a Registered Nurse license in Missouri.

This is the display I made of the University of Georgia's Terry College of Business where I got a second education and graduated with a business degree.

This is my selfie [Gloria Poole,RN, artist] in spring 2014 but I look the same except that I am thinner and my hair is longer but I still put it in lop-sided pony tail when I walk about or create art to prevent hair from blowing into my eyes or into paint.That is also me that you see in the "about me" box on right side of this blog and I am wearing a dark grey winter wool hat because that photo was taken of me in state of Georgia in Jan 2010 and my family in Georgia saw me wearing that hat and so did other people. So I am leaving that photo also on this blog for that reason.

I painted this sketch today after lunch using tempera paint that comes in a pan, and a brush. I drew the circle w/ a pencil first and then painted it with a marker. I named this sketch 'blood moon". I signed it with the same marker and photographed it and uploaded it and posted it to this blog of mine. Copyrighted. I also updated 2 other blogs of mine today and posted a 2nd sketch:

I drew this sketch today after lunch also. I drew the squares in with a pencil, then painted them with tempera that comes in a pan. This is very close to that gorgeous blue that I like so much. This and the top sketch are both on 8 x 11 paper that I first sized with vegetable starch to make it more durable and impermeable to water. I painted this, signed it, photographed it, uploaded it and posted it today 28th Jan 2016 at 5:26pm. Copyrighted.

I drew this sketch and named it road through the Alps and you can see the little bridge over the river there. It is on 8 x 11 paper and I drew it, then painted it with watercolor, then didn't like it so repainted portions of it with acrylic, then signed it, then photographed it more than once, then uploaded it then posted it, today 17 Jan 2016 at 1:38pm.Copyrighted.

This is a sketch I drew with drawing chalk today 12th jan 2016 and I signed it, photographed it, uploaded it and posted it to this blog of mine. I named this sketch "grumpy dog" as I was trying to draw an expression on the "dog's " face. 2 sketches made today by me Gloria Poole,RN, artist of /in Missouri

This sketch is one that sort of morphed as I drew it first in graphite then painted it with acrylic and inktense. I was trying to draw a bright orange bowl ! Well. At first, it didn't look a container of any sort so I tried again. I lengthened it [too much] so that it became a vase. I decided to leave it like that and paint it. Also, I was trying to draw as if it were sitting on a pillow. I did not get the perspective correct obviously! This is on 8 x 11 paper that I sized with wheat paste, and I signed it, photographed it and uploaded it. I consider this sketch a failure because it does not look anything like I intended it to look. I couldn't think through how to correct it. I have learned that acknowledging the failed sketches also has me and others to see how I improve over time. Copyrighted.

The second sketch I made today is better. I was drawing from a real piece of fruit. This is a drawing, not a painting because I used drawing chalk to draw it. I drew it, signed it with a pencil and photographed it and uploaded it and posted it to this blog of mine today 30th Dec 2015 at 4:26pm. Copyrighted.

This is the most recent selfie of me in 2014 but I look the very same. I am still putting my hair in lop-sided pony-tail and my hair is still brown.

Oil painting lights across spectrum painted by me Gloria Poole Registered Nurse and artist in/of Missouri and Georgia;Update2

Update to this post on 5th Dec, 2015; after tweeting this photo of oil painting I painted on @gloria_poole, AND after tweeting @FBI for help in removing the criminal element from my blogs and computer. I painted this oil on canvas of 18 x 24 inches in size in order to paint with that gorgeous blue color that I like so much and which was often used in medieval times by "old Masters" artists. I study their techniques intermittently and attempt to replicate them. I was trying to paint a light flashing across a spectrum, in a way to retain the blue background as the main color of the canvas. This painting is not like any other I have ever painted before. I have created sketches in abstracts but I have not so far, painted an oil painting in abstract or surreal. I experiment often with different techniques, mediums, brands, surfaces, planes [angles] , genres. I did not draw this first. I just picked up a paint brush and very quickly painted this because the idea flashed into my head. I signed it, photographed it, uploaded it, and posted it today, because I tried to post this same photo to this same blog on 2nd of Dec, and was blocked from doing so by ILLEGAL censors, who had hacked my computer on day after Thanksgiving day. I am grateful to @Google and @FBI for helping resolve the problems and also the manufacturer of my computer(s). If I include too many details, it might "empower" criminal hackers again. Also, I photographed this on the easel I use primarily for painting oils on canvas with which is in a different part of my apt than where I normally photograph art I made. Also, the signature you see above on this blog was created by me with a graphics software program and not with a brush. I usually try to make each blog and site unique in some way. I sign the art I create normally with a brush or a pen/dip pen/ pencil/chalk/ pastel/ charcoal --whatever I was using to create that particular piece of art.

I intended to add my photo of my painting I painted yesterday but there is some sort of trick trying to prevent uploads from my same computer that was hacked on Thanksgiving day after about 11am. I think cyber-criminals are trying to hijack my blog. So I am adding the identifying info and selfies, and seals of me Gloria Poole,RN, artist, who was born in state of Georgia, USA and who resides in Missouri since Oct 2009 who OWNS this blog and creates and all content on it.
