Oil painting medical research gone awry painted by me Gloria Poole,RN,artist of Missouri

This is the oil painting I began months ago, and sort of got lost in, because of the twists and turns and spindles. It had a tendency to disorient me! So, I was't sure if I could finish it. I finished painting it this morning and signed it, photographed it, uploaded it and posted it to this blog of mine. This is not the only blog of mine that I regularly post art I create too. It is intended to look like human DNA which is an abbreviation for deoxyribonucleic acid, that is the hereditary material in humans and almost all other organisms; but human DNA can be distinguished from animal DNA. Nearly every cell in a person's body has the same DNA. And DNA is unique to each person. My intention in painting this is to protest the so-called cutting of DNA with enzymes to tamper with human chromosones, genes, and DNa and RNA [which is the science of genetics] , that is in the news. In other words, this is my idea of what happens when human DNA is tampered with--it becomes tangled up, twisted wrong and clumps together instead of being in strands of chain-like structures. This is NOT a medical representation! This is an artist PROTEST of the scientific community's effort to redesign and tamper with human DNA. I photographed this on my easel in my 2nd bedroom which is my home office/studio for oil paintings, but I have other easels and at supplies literally in every area of my apartment. I photographed it on the easel because it is very wet, and because I had reason to believe over the weekend that someone had tried to hijack the unfinished image /photo of this oil painting. I photographed it at the time when I had left it unfinished for months trying to decide how to proceed with it. Because I do not sign unfinished oil paintings, the unfinished painting photo may have been used by cyber-criminals to try to steal several blogs and accounts of mine. I photographed it when finished on the same easel I painted it on, and I photographed my palette I had mixed paint on also as documentation.

This is Me--my selfie [Gloria Poole,RN, artist] in spring 2014 but I look the same except that I am thinner and my hair is longer but I still put it in lop-sided pony tail when I walk about or create art to prevent hair from blowing into my eyes or into paint.That is also me that you see in the "about me" box on right side of this blog and I am wearing a dark grey winter wool hat because that photo was taken of me in state of Georgia in Jan 2010 and my family in Georgia saw me wearing that hat and so did other people. So I am leaving that photo also on this blog for that reason.

Grumpy dog sketch drawn today by me Gloria Poole,RN,artist of/in Missouri

This is a sketch I drew with drawing chalk today 12th jan 2016 and I signed it, photographed it, uploaded it and posted it to this blog of mine. I followed that same process of creating art or photos, signing the art I made, photographing it, uploading it and posting for all art and photos on this blog and wrote all words on it. I named this sketch "grumpy dog" as I was trying to draw an expression on the "dog's " face. This is on 8 x 11 inch paper and I sized the paper first with wheat paste to make it impermeable to watercolors/water based media/ inks/ Copyright.

This is my signature I signed with watercolor paint and a paintbrush to mark the turning of the year. I have posted this to several of my blogs as my 2016 personal logo but that is only I until I decide to change it. It is not cast in stone as my be all and end all logo.
