2 Abstract sketches made by Ms Gloria Poole, RN, artist of / in Missouri on 5 June 2015

This is a sketch I made yesterday with inktense, watercolor,and acrylic and it is 11 x 14 on paper in my sketch book. I was trying to make something look really bright contrast and sort of glowing. I have not named this. But I consider it an #abstractart because the world around flowers is not that glowing pink aura. I signed this, photographed it, uploaded it, and posted it to this blog of mine today 5 June 2015. In fact, all art on this blog was made by me and signed by me and photographed by me Gloria Poole of and in Missouri.I have lived in same apt in Missouri since Nov 3, 2009.

This is a geometric sketch I made last night in #abstractart also and I named it "brick walkway". It is 8 x 10 on inkjet paper because I had put too much water on the watercolor above and it took a long time to dry, so I made next sketch on office paper [from my "home office/ studio] , which I do intermittently.I signed this, photographed it, uploaded it, and posted it to this blog of mine today 5 June 2015. In fact, all art on this blog was made by me and signed by me and photographed by me Gloria Poole of and in Missouri.

I am adding in my symbols, logos and selfie again because yesterday someone tried to hijack 2 of my blogs AND my name and signature, and I tweeted about . I am still U S citizen, still white, still single again, atill a woman and still Southern Baptist, born again Christian living in the continental USA.

This is the most recent selfie of me in 2014 but I look the very same. I am still putting my hair in lop-sided pony-tail and my hair is still brown.

This is a photo of the U S flag that I photographed the week of Memorial Day on walkabout to remind all that as a U S citizen I have first amendment liberties, and indeed all civil liberties as guaranteed by U S Constitution.

Horse and rider, skiff and storm sketches made by Gloria Poole,RN,artist of/in Missouri, on 27 May 2015

This is a sketch in watercolor that I made of a horse and rider. You can see from the hooves that I drew it in graphite first. I signed, photographed and uploaded it as is true of all art on this blog of mine and on any blog of mine. It is mixed media of inktense, watercolor and tempra on 11 x 14 inch paper in my sketch book. I photograph with a variety of cameras from my sketch book by propping it or clipping it to my portable drawing board [the brown edges] and then leaning it on my easel in my front room. But I have other easels which I also photograph from and other areas of my apartment where I create art. I have sketched and painted horses several times and posted them to my blogs. I put many of those sketches in one batch on my https://mini-exhibition.blogspot.com and it would be in archives there now.

This is a watercolor, tempra and inktense sketch on paper in my sketch book of a skiff which is a long narrow boat. Neither of these "people" in these sketches are real. I made them with paint.

Yesterday, in early am I sat on my balcony to have my coffee, and the sky was sort of beautiful but stormy, so I tried to draw/ paint it. I didn't capture the beauty of it, and am disappointed with the sketch but it is the first sketch that I have tried to paint a stormy sky in plein air so it is significant to me. It is also 11 x 14 in my sketch book.

Oil painting named college prep painted by Gloria Poole,RN,artist in Missouri on 13 May 2015

This is the oil painting I began weeks ago, then was undecided exactly what I wanted to paint on it, so I let it germinate for a while on my easel. Today I finally decided what I wanted to paint and it came together with paints and brushes very quickly. I am not going to tell you why I named it "college prep" but I imagine most can reason it. It is 18 x 24 on canvas and is on my easel.
